Istanbul Doner Burrito is just starting out, taking over the spot in the Longwood Galleria formerly occupied by Beantown Burrito. Istanbul Doner is a cross between the famous Doner Kebab and the Mexican-American burrito. With a variety of toppings, you can steer your bowl or burrito in either direction. I went in a more Turkish direction and, while I think they are still going to fine-tune the concept, I got an enjoyable product. The yellow rice was flavorful, the beef doner was rich and a generous portion. The sauces were quite good as well (hummus, tzatziki, tahini, garlic sauce; also guacamole and sour cream for the more Mexican direction). Overall, I recommend giving them a try if you regularly eat in the Galleria.
